So I received my first every YA book subscription box!!! I have been dying to try many of these new services and because I am from the UK I decided it would be best to start at home and try Fairyloot!
I placed my first order around halfway through August because the theme “Otherworlds” really caught my eye and it honestly did not disappoint! My experience with ordering and receiving the box was a bit rocky due to some confusion between the courier and Fairyloot, but the whole team were so helpful and responded to my emails very quickly for 5 stars for the team!!
For this post, I am going to show each individual item received in the box for August so if you are still waiting on yours PLEASE LOOK AWAY! Its so much more fun being completely surprised by what you receive!
This is what I saw as I opened my box…
So the first item I saw was this Westeros Tea Strainer based (obviously) on Game of Thrones. Now please don’t kill me but I have yet to watch GOT because for some unknown reason I just can’t get into it. However, I love tea and this is shaped like a sword so like yeah this is pretty cool. I love it and I am going to have to buy some new loose leaf tea to try it out! This item was specifically made for Fairyloot and it has a quote on the back from George R.R Martin, “A mind needs books as a sword needs whetstone, if it is to keep its edge”
Next, we see this beautiful eye mask that reads ” Fictional worlds fuel my dreams”….yes they do Fairyloot, yes they do. This so cute, I’ve never had a sleeping mask before so I don’t know if ill use it but I’m sure I’ll give it ago. Alongside it, there was an absolutely STUNNING little notebook which was hand painted by TJ Lubrano, now if you were to gather anything from me on this blog let it be that Peter Pan is my favourite thing in the whole world, so I ADORE this.
This month we have also received a candle from Book and Nook this month, which is based on the book we got this month. It is an exclusive Witchsoul candle which the author of the book and Fairyloot worked together on the scents to theme them around a particular character. I received the Lisarah candle which is sparkly and purple so I love it! I’m not 100% sure if I like the scent yet but it’s pretty so I’m ok with it.
I also got 2 Lord of the Rings magnetic bookmarks which are brought to us by Paperly and co. The bookmarks I received Aragorn and Arwen and they are soooo adorable I love them! You can never have too many bookmarks anyway so I mean I love these.
We were also given 2 chapter samples this month, one for Godsgrave by Jay Kristoff and Blackwing by Ed McDonald.
Also in this box, we received a BEAUTIFUL A4 print from Melissa Nettleship which is based on the Northern Lights and it is a really stunning and artistic little piece. We also received a mini backdrop discount coupon which is such a cool idea and I’m really considering it!!
And THEN we received my personal favourite item from this box which is a handmade Velaris Pendant necklace made by Oh Panda Eyes! It is so so so beautiful and the quote on it is just stunning, I’ve already worn it many times and I am just in love!
FINALLY….the book! This months new YA release is Wicked like a Wildfire by Lana Popovic which is a book containing witches, fiery females, romance and more! This book seems really really interesting and the cover is just stunning!!! I definitely think I’ll be picking it up soon! Along with it we also got a signed bookplate and a letter from the author herself!
So that’s all from me this week, I hope you liked this unboxing and I shall see you all soon!
