Today I am going to express my appreciation for AUDIO BOOKS!
So ok yes I know all the big book tubers talk about audio books all the time and include them in their monthly wrap-ups etc, but until this year I never realised how great they are!
The past 2-3 years I’ve probably listened to less than 10 audio books overall, and this to be quite honest is due to the cost. Initially I was using Audible (which is in no way really expensive) but as a full time student I just don’t really have the spare money for audio books. So I dabbled a little into listening to audio books but never really stuck to it.
THIS YEAR THOUGH… I found out that my library company which is Library’s NI, have an online app for its members and with this app you can download ebooks and audio books that your local library have. So I though this was brilliant because of course its free because its from the library, so I went through their selection and started saving some books I’d like to listen to in my holds area. This was in January, and now that we are now in March I have listened to a total of 6 audio books and I am currently halfway through my 7th.
They are GREAT! especially as a student, I don’t have a lot of time for sitting and physically reading a book anymore but i can listen to these on the go and when Im just walking about the house doing stuff!!
If you are wondering what I’ve been listening to lately, its been:
Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone – J.K Rowling
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets – J.K Rowling
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban – J.K Rowling
Fifties Girl – Sophie Kinsella
The Lord of the Rings (Fellowship of the Ring) – J.R.R Tolkin
The Lord of the Rings (The Two towers) – J.R.R Tolkin
This was quite a random wee post but I just wanted to tell everyone how great audio books can be!!
Thanks for reading,
